Our Gite is a traditional stone house just off the D127 in St Jacques de Nehou.
It is in a very pretty rural area good for bird-watching, walking and cycling.
About 15mins drive from the coast and resorts of Barneville-Carteret and Portbail and the market towns of Bricquebec and St Sauveur le Vicomte which each have a Chateau.
At the nearby coast are white sandy beaches good for swimming, sailing and water sports and plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants as well as horse-riding, golf and adventure activities.
The beautiful scenic cliff paths, country lanes, woodland and pastures are just stunning.
The nearby village of Besneville has a Bakers and General Stores.
A two hours drive can take you St Mont Michel and the Bayeaux Tapistry. Easy access to Roman and WWII historic sites and D-Day beaches, and the famous St Mere Eglise.
The house itself has a well-fitted kitchen and dining room, lounge with UK Satellite TV. DVD player.
Downstairs there is double bedroom with shower room and WC.
Upstairs a family room with en suite bathroom and a triple room with a sink and shaver point.
Heating is primarily by wood burners with additional electric radiators.
In the kitchen there is an electric cooker, fridge, freezer washing machine, toaster, microwave and plenty of kitchen equipment plus iron and ironing board.
Outside there is a good sized garden, terrace with picnic table and barbecue, ample parking and access to the small river.
The house is well furnished and comes with linen so it is ready to live in, you just need your personal possessions.
